About
Laboratoires Structure is run by Ashfaaq Kazi, a researcher and builder based in Montréal.
For seven years he worked as a product owner on privacy-critical pharmacy software — systems handling protected health information, consent management, and compliance with Québec's Law 25 and PIPEDA. That work was an extended education in where cryptography meets obligation: what it means to hold someone's most sensitive data and remain accountable for it.
In Fall 2026 he begins a BEng in Cybersecurity at Concordia, in the program's first cohort. The degree formalizes a practice already underway; it is not a beginning from zero. The long arc points toward graduate research in post-quantum cryptography — the question of how the internet's authentication and key-exchange machinery survives the arrival of large-scale quantum computers.
This site is where that work accumulates in public: implementations, reproductions, measurements, and reading notes — dated, kept permanently, and including the dead ends.
